It’s my story and I’m sticking to it…

I was born in a small-ish town in WV the oldest of six children. In 1960 I was 11 years old. My “impressionable years” were spent in the 60′s and 70′s.

I have since lived in many places, visited 46 states, travelled around the world 3 times, raised two sons, worked many, many jobs and even had a couple of careers along the way. I currently live in Melbourne, Australia.

Life: What a ride it’s been (so far)!

I recently began telling the story of my life experiences – so far (particularly the 70’s in the Army). To say that I had a unique experience in the Army during the Viet Nam years is quite the understatement. I was the luckiest man in the world and I knew it.

I think it’s a fun story, though, and. many people over the years have encouraged me to write it down while I can. So I started and stopped. I started and stopped. I started and stopped. I intend to continue now and throw in a few other tales about my odd (but interesting) experiences.  Sometimes I’ll even complain about things…but I will try to keep that toned down a bit. Sometimes prose is not the right medium to say what I have to say, so I will throw in a smattering of poetry as well. And humour — I lot of humour.
